「The Way of Clothing（衣服の在り方）」
「A MATTER OF FORM」は、身体と衣服の関係性を探求した作品です。
この物語は、シルエットやプロポーション、色彩に焦点を当て、フレームの中でファッションを彫刻的な要素として活用しています。
グラフィックな構図や親密なポートレート、そしてより遊び心のある誇張されたポーズを織り交ぜたイメージは、フェミニニティ、強さ、そして特異性の狭間で視覚的な対話を生み出しています。

テーマの本質は「形」――衣服が身体の自然なシルエットを再構築し、強調し、あるいはそれに挑戦するという在り方です。
ミニマルなスタジオを背景に、誇張されたテーラリング、鮮やかな色彩、質感、そして力強いグラフィカルな造形を組み合わせ、プロポーションとコントラストを表現したかったのです。

インスピレーション源は、ヴィンテージのファッションエディトリアルの視覚的表現と、衣服を力強くグラフィカルなメッセージへと昇華させる力でした。
同時に、このストーリーに現代的で即興的な感覚を持たせたいと考えました。
シンプルなセットは一種の白紙のキャンバスとなり、スタイリングや色彩、モデルの身体性が物語を紡ぎ出しています。


“A MATTER OF FORM” is an exploration of the relationship between the body and clothing.
The story focuses on silhouette, proportion and color, using fashion as a sculptural element within the frame.
The images move between graphic compositions, intimate portraits and more playful, exaggerated poses, creating a visual dialogue between femininity, strength and eccentricity.

The theme is essentially form—the way clothing can reshape, emphasise or challenge the natural silhouette of the body.
I wanted to play with proportion and contrast, bringing together exaggerated tailoring, vivid color, texture and strong graphic shapes against a minimal studio environment.

I was inspired by the visual language of vintage fashion editorials and their ability to turn clothing into a strong graphic statement.
At the same time, I wanted the story to feel contemporary and spontaneous.
The clean setting became a kind of blank canvas, allowing the styling, colour and physicality of the model to create the narrative.
