「A Return to the Self（自己への回帰）」

音のない空間。

畳の上に、光が落ちる。
揺れる影、呼吸する植物。

生まれ、朽ちていくものたちの中で、
身体だけが、わずかに動く。
何もないはずの場所に、確かに存在する「動」。

それを感じ取る余白が、
人を静かにほどいていく。
ここは逃げる場所ではない。
生と死、そのどちらからも目を逸らさず、
ただ、自分という存在に還っていく場所。


A space without sound.

Light falls onto the tatami.
Shifting shadows, breathing plants.

Among things that are born and things that decay, only the body moves, ever so slightly.
A ‘movement’ that surely exists in a place where there should be nothing.

The space to perceive it quietly loosens the self.
This is not a place to escape.
Without averting eyes from either life or death, it is simply a place to return to one’s own existence.

日本を拠点に活動する写真家兼BURNING MAGAZINEディレクター。
フェミニズム社会学への関心を軸に、女性性や身体表現を扱う。
作品を通じて、日本社会に根付く家父長制的な価値観やジェンダー構造、そして「まなざし」の在り方そのものを問い続けている。
2026年7月、台湾・台北で開催される「PhotoVogue影像藝術展」のアーティストレジデンシーおよびグループ展に参加予定。

A photographer based in Japan and director of BURNING MAGAZINE.
Her practice explores femininity and the body through an interest in feminist sociology.
Through her work, she questions patriarchal values, gender structures, and the ‘gaze’ embedded within Japanese society.
She will participate in the artist residency and group exhibition ‘PhotoVogue Imaging Art Exhibition’ in Taipei, Taiwan in July 2026.
