「Layers（重ね着）」
生まれた瞬間から私たちは、この世界の広大さと無防備さに対して、身体的、感情的な器、すなわち安全と包容をもたらす境界を求め、必要とします。
衣服は個人に与えられる最初の保護手段の1つであり、境界を定め、自分だけの空間を確立したいというこの生来の欲求を部分的かつ具体的な形で満たすものです。
 
このエディトリアルは、衣服の「重ね着」が物質という枠を超えた保護の形を提供するという理解から始まります。
シルエットを包み込み、ぼかし、あるいは歪めることで、重ね着は感情的かつ象徴的な逃げ場を生み出し、都市や社会への露出に対して、どの程度身体をさらすかを調整することを可能にします。
保護と不透明さが交差するこの地点において、衣服をまとうことを通して身体がどのように提示され、保護され、語られるかを再考するための領域が浮かび上がります。


From birth, human beings seek and require a physical and emotional container, a boundary that offers safety and containment in the face of the world’s vastness and exposure.
Clothing is one of the first acts of protection granted to the individual, partially and tangibly fulfilling this innate need to establish a limit and a space of one’s own.
 
This research begins from the understanding that layers offer a form of protection that goes beyond the material.
By enveloping, blurring, or distorting the silhouette, they generate a form of emotional and symbolic refuge that allows the regulation of how much of the body is offered to urban and social exposure.
In this intersection between protection and opacity emerges a territory from which to rethink how the body is presented, protected, and narrated through the act of dressing.

Malena del Río：
アルゼンチン出身でバルセロナを拠点とするファッションデザイナー・スタイリスト。
作品を通して衣服、身体、そして知覚の関係性を探求し、レイヤリングやシルエットを駆使して、保護、親密さ、変容といった概念を喚起することを試みる。
作品制作と並行してファッション業界でも活躍しており、現在は独自のエディトリアルプロジェクトを展開している。

An Argentine fashion designer and stylist based in Barcelona.
Her work explores the relationship between clothing, the body, and perception, often using layering and silhouette to evoke ideas of protection, intimacy, and transformation.
Alongside her editorial practice, she has worked within the fashion industry.
She is currently developing independent editorial projects.
