夏も半ばにさしかかる頃。ビーチを筆頭に、私にとってこの季節をエフォートレスに過ごすために欠かせない大切なものが、いくつかあります。今日は「夏はこれなしでは生きられない！」と気づいたモノコトをご紹介。

Halfway through the summer I’ve realized there are a few things that I have not been able to live without. These are things that make summer living pretty effortless, which is exactly what summer should be about. 

夏のヘアスタイルに。

夏はほとんどの時間をビーチで過ごす私ですが、髪へのダメージは悩みの種。海水浴で髪を洗い、日光で乾かしたまま……ということも多々ですが、これをやっていてもダメージを最小限に抑えてくれた、優勝なヘアケアアイテムをピックアップしました。

1. 一つ目は、「バタフライ サロン」で受けられるジェニファーのセザンヌ トリートメント。ダメージを改善し、紫外線、砂や塩から守ってくれます。

2.「ピュアオロジー」のシャンプーとコンディショナーがすごい！ ケミカル系の成分を一切使っておらず、香りもすごく良いのが特徴。私はこのセットと、「リビング プルーフ」のアイテムを交互に使っています。MITの研究で培われたテクノロジーが生かされており、湿気に対してビクともしないので大助かり。

3. 機内でうねった髪に効くのは、「モロッカンオイル」社のアイテム。用途に合わせてどんなアイテムもそろうのが魅力です。

Summer Hair

I spend so much time at the beach over the summer; the last thing I want to worry about is my hair. I rely on the ocean to wash it and the summer breeze to dry it, and maybe a shampoo here and there. These are the products that make that possible.

1. First stop, Butterfly Salon for a Cezanne treatment with Jennifer. The treatment preps my hair for the damage it endures from the sun, sand and salt.

2. I love PUREOLOGY Shampoo + Conditioner, they’re free of harsh chemicals and smell amazing. I alternate between those and the products from Living Proof. Using technology developed at MIT humidity doesn’t stand a chance against the Living Proof products. 

3. To fight any sort of frizz, any product from Moroccan Oil usually does the job. They have a product for everything, and then some.Butterfly Salon

夏の美肌づくり。

ビーチで一日中過ごすほど"ビーチ バム"な私ですが、安全に日焼けする方法についてもきちんと心得ています。日焼け止めを塗るのはもちろんのこと、小じわをつくらない為にビタミンDを摂取。好きなサンケアアイテムは「サンバーン」のもの。ナチュラルな小麦肌に見せてくれるのでお気に入りです。香りもとても良いのでこまめに塗りなおしたくなります。

Summer Skin

Even though I’m a total beach bum I believe in practicing safe sun. I pile on the sunscreen so I can get my Vitamin D without a side of premature wrinkles, among other things. My favorite products are from Sun Bum, because they allow me to be a healthy Sun Bum. The smell alone makes you want to reapply constantly.Sun Bum

夏にヘビーユースするメイクアップアイテム。

夏はメイクが崩れやすいので、季節的にメイクとの相性は仲良くないですが、「グロシエー」のアイテムを使えば1%の努力しかしていなくても、100%の努力をしたかのように見えてしまうから不思議！ 私は大抵のブランドのアイテムを試していますが、厳選したアイテムがそろう「グロシエー」なら、そんな手間は不要。私は「グロシエー」から出ている洗顔フォームからリップ ステインまで全ラインナップを使っています。（文字通り、本当に全て！）

コンパクトサイズのストレッチコンシーラーは、すごく長持ちするのでおすすめ。これでツヤ感のある目もとをつくり、アイブロウマスカラのボーイ ブロウと併用すれば、サンセットの日差しが似合うメイクアップの完成！

Summer Makeup

Makeup and summer don’t totally go hand in hand but with any product from Glossier you’re able to look like you’ve put in 100% effort when in reality you only really need to put forth like a 1%. I usually pick and choose products from different brands but Glossier has eliminated the need to do that. I use everything from their face wash to their lip stains and everything in between (literally, everything).

A little stretch concealer goes a really long way, throw that on with their amazing boy brow product, some of their haloscope, and you’re ready to go, just in time to catch the sunset.Glossier

夏のボディメイク。

通い続けられるかはわからないけど（もしかすると次の夏までの目標になるかも）週3回のStudio Anyaでの、ローラがコーチングするピラティス セッションのヘビーユーザーになるつもり。それにモントークのビーチにいる時は、バイク、ランニングやサーフィングなどなるべく外でアクティブに活動するようにしています。

これら4つのモノコトが、これからしばらく続く夏の大半をビーチで過ごす私にとって欠かせないものになりそうです。

Summer Body

I’m not sure I’m totally there yet (maybe by next summer) but I rely heavily on my 3x a week Pilates sessions at Studio Anya with my instructor, Laura. Then when I’m out at the beach in Montauk I try to take my workouts outside as much as possible, biking, running or surfing.

These things, along with the beach, are basically all I need to get me through the next few months.Studio Anya
