「A Place to Return to（立ち返る場所）」

ワンダーランドとは、刺激的で視覚的にも美しく、楽しい驚きに満ちた、架空あるいは実在する場所のことです。
そしてこれは、世界について学び始めたばかりで、まだどう振る舞えばいいのか分からない幼少期という瞬間を思い起こさせる言葉です。
研究によると、私たちが生まれたとき人格の半分は遺伝によって決まり、残りの半分は育った環境によって形作られるといわれています。
もちろんこの主張は極端に単純化されていますが、幼少期を振り返る上で参考になり得るものです。

あなたの性格はどのように形成されてきましたか？
他人が好むであろう姿に合わせて自分の在り方を変えたことはありますか？
今の自分は自分がなりたい自分だと思えますか？
それとも、他人が正しいと思うことを意識して行動していますか？
年月を重ねるにつれ、私たちは周囲を真似て、社会にどう溶け込むかに意識を向けるようになります。
メディアの影響を絶えず受けながら、その過程で徐々に自分らしさを忘れていくのです。

このヴィジュアルストーリーを通じて、私たち自身や他の人々に決して妥協することなく、常に自分自身を再発見できる場所を見つけ続けることを思い出してもらいたいと考えています。


Wonderland is an imaginary or real place that is exciting, visually beautiful, and full of delightful surprises.
And this is a word that makes you think about childhood, a moment where you start to learn about the world and you still don’t know how to behave.
Research suggests that when we are born half of our personality is given by genetics and the other half is shaped by the environment we grow up in.
Of course this statement is an oversimplification, but it’s helpful to reflect.

How has your personality been shaped?
Did you adjust your way to what others might like?
Do you feel like you are how you want to be?
Or do you act thinking about what others will find correct?
By the years we focus on how to fit in society imitating what surrounds us.
We are continuously influenced by the media and slowly forget ourselves on the way.

With our visual story we want to remember to us and others to always find a place to redescover ourselves without any compromise.
