メーガン妃、LAセレブらしいニューヘアスタイルを披露

ヘンリー王子とともにイギリス王室の公務から離れ、長男アーチーと一家そろって新たな生活を始めて以来、メーガン妃はボランティアなどの活動や自身が重要と考える問題への取り組みに、これまで以上に力を注いできた。

ただ、忙しく過ごすなかでもどこかリラックスして幸せそうな様子は、そのボディランゲージやヘアスタイルからも見て取ることができる。

メーガン妃が今年7月、久しぶりに公の場に（ビデオ会議で）私たちの前に姿を見せたとき、多くの人を驚かせたのは、新型コロナウイルスのパンデミックによってロックダウンが実施されていた間に伸びたとみられる髪の長さ。おそらくロイヤルメンバーなら、人前では見せないヘアスタイルだった。

その後もメーガン妃は、ロングヘアをマーメイドカール（礼儀作法に関する王室のルール「プロトコル」にはきっと反している）にするなど、これまでにはなかったヘアスタイルを見せている。

いっぽう、キャサリン妃もまた、リラックスした感じのヘアスタイルで（もちろん、プロトコルに従っていると言える範囲で）、公の場に登場している。ロックダウンで外出が制限されていた間、キャサリン妃は自分で髪のカラーリングをし、3人の子供たちの髪をカットしてあげていたとのこと。

これまで厳格だったヘアスタイルに関する王室のルールも、今後は少し緩和されることになるだろうか？

メーガン妃の最新のヘアスタイルに話を戻すと、センターパートにしたサイドポニーテールは、ビデオ会議の開始まで時間がないというときにまさに最適。以下のビデオに映る同妃からもわかるとおり、髪の長さを見せつつ、束ねることですっきりとした感じを与えてくれる。
