オランダのレストランが考案した「隔離温室」が話題

新型コロナウイルス感染拡大防止のための、長きにわたる外出制限期間を経て、各国が制限の緩和に向け動き出している現在。

営業を再開するにあたり、あらゆる店舗が対策を模索する中、あるスタイルを考案したオランダのレストランが注目を集めています。

そのお店とは、アムステルダムのウォーターフロントに位置し、地元の新鮮な食材を活かしたヴィーガン料理を提供する「Mediamatic ETEN」。

＜CNN＞によると、このお店も新型コロナウイルスの影響で休業状態にあるものの、お店の外にガラスの温室を設置し、その中で食事ができるというスタイルを現地時間の5月5日から試験的にスタートさせたのだとか。

これらの“隔離温室”は、中に2～3人座ることが可能で、ソーシャルディスタンスを取りながら家族で食事ができると話題に。また、スタッフたちは感染リスクを抑えるため、全員フェイスシールドと手袋を装着して接客にあたり、料理はお客との距離を取るため、長い板の上に乗せて運ばれるとのこと。

現時点ではまだ、政府からの正式な営業再開許可を待っている段階のため、お店に来店できるのはスタッフの家族や、同じ家に暮らす友人たちのみ。しかしすでに、再開（予定）後の座席予約は満杯になっているそう。

このお店で働くルームメイトに招待され、いち早く食事を堪能したジャニータ・フェルミューレンさんは「最高に居心地が良くて、素敵だった。料理もとても美味しかったわ」とロイター通信に語っています。

また、お店のオーナーであるウィレム・ヴェルトホーベン氏も、「私たちも今、消毒の方法や、どのようにお客様にサービスを行うか…お客様に満足して頂くために、どうすれば上品に食事を運んだり、食器を下げたりできるかを学んでいるところです」と述べています。

オランダでは現在、飲食店におけるテイクアウトの営業は認められていますが、店内での飲食については、少なくとも5月19日まで休業措置が取られるとのこと。

まだまだ“以前と同じ”というわけにはいきませんが、感染拡大防止のために頑張っている一人一人の努力が実り、世界中のレストランから再び会話を楽しむ人々の声が聞こえてくる日が、1日も早く訪れますように。
